real techniques brushes


Recently I've picked up the oval shadow brush from their bold metals collection which is higher price point of brushes that are available from boots and superdrug. So I thought that I would compare this brush with the base shadow brush from their original collection which is a similar shape. 



So as you can see the size of the bold metal's brushes is longer. It also has a triangular grip which I much rather prefer. The actual application for both brushes is quite different. The base shadow is great for laying down colour for a base on the lid and I also like to use it to blend colour into the crease. The bold metals brush is fatter with the brush but is also much much softer. This is really nice when blending as you not going to irritate the skin around the eye. 



There is also a difference in price you can buy all the bold metals brushes indivually and this is £15.00.This brush is comparable to the MAC 217 which I haven't actually tried but it's a similar shape.  Where as the base shadow brush is only part of a set which is £21.99 for 5 brushes.

top 5 nude lips

Top 5 nude/ neutral lips  My first one is probably the most expensive of my five and it's the Clarins instant lip perfector. This product is kind of light a natural gloss which a slight colour. The scent of this product is just amazing it smells like vanilla and I just love it!! Like I said before it's the most expensive one at £18.00. My next one is from maybelline and if you saw my post earlier in the week then you may have already seen this but this is probably the most bold colour of the five but still very wearable. This is the maybelline colour sensational in petal pink. I really like this colour because it's not quite matte but it so nearly is. My third one is from rimmel and it's called nude pink. Shade name wise I think that this is quite disappointing as a nude pink I think of being a your lips but better, however this lipstick has quite a orangery undertone. Top 3 concealer's I think concealer is something that people get confused about, what shade to pick and where to put it. This is because there two types of concealer's one that is meant to be use for spot and blemishes, which most people know about and then there is also highlighting concealer's which are used to add light to your face but still concealer's light blemishes and small blemishes within those area's.  The most famous highlighting conceal is the YSL Touche Eclat which is even through is good it's pretty pricey at £25.00. So I was in boots a while ago and saw that Barry M have tried to do a high street alternative.
