February Favourites

Image
It's the end of another month which means it's time for a round of my favourite things that I've used this month.  Starting of with make-up I've been loving using the same pool of product's every day this month. It's so much easier to get ready in the morning and I can really give them a good test. I have been using the death by chocolate by I heart make-up so much this month. If you want to know my thoughts about this then go check out my blog as I've done a full review of this.  My next product is the revlon ultimate all in one mascara. If you didn't know revlon has release a whole new line of mascara's to replaced there existing range. My favourite has got to be this one, I love that the brush is so small because it means that it can get into my lashes and really extend them.  Base wise I have been using the collection colour match foundation for most of the month. This is the colour match foundation, it's a rea

Too faced Semi-sweet chocolate bar eyeshadow palette

Image
I've heard so many amazing things about the too faced palette that I really wanted to try one. So picked up the Semi-sweet chocolate bar palette and it didn't disappoint. The packaging on the product I love so much and that fact that it's metal makes it so easier to travel with. As soon as you open this product there is a very strong scent of chocolate which isn't going to be for everyone but I absolutely love it.  The shades are mainly neutrals but there is a very pop of colour which I love.  Going from left to right the shades are; Licorice, Coconut Creme, Nougat, Truffled, Hot Fudge, Cocoa Chilli, Pink Sugar, Puddin' Blueberry Swirl, Peanut Butter, Frosting, Rum Rasin, Mouse, Caramel, Bon Bon and Butter Pecan.  I will be putting this in next month make-up bag to really test it as I only picked this up on friday. So watch out for further reviews but so far I really like it.  You can pick this up from Debenhams for £39.00 so arou

Brand focus- Rimmel

Image
This the 3rd installment of this feature on my blog and this time I thought I would one of my favourite brands from the high street which is Rimmel. Rimmel is a very affordable and very accessible (in the U.K) brand. Rimmel first started in 2001 launching with the famous face of Kate Moss to it's name. Rimmel in now available in over 40 countries world wide. Rimmel aims to create a make-up range that is colourful, contemporary and of a high-quality. I have loved rimmel ever since I first got into make-up and find that the product's are amazing.  Here are a few of my favourite's which you will probably already if you're regular reader's.  Starting of with base, I love rimmel because they actually do a shade that matches my skin. I regularly use the match perfection and wake me up foundation. These are actually the old formula's and am yet to try the new formula of the match perfection.   Match perfection is great if you want a everyday natural fou

Fleur de force (looks)

Image
Fleur de Force is a youtube sensation and last year she released her own line of makeup exclusively to feelunique.com. Since I have quite a few bits from her collection  I thought that I would do a full review and share my favourites. In the range there in two eyeshadow palette and six lipgloss which she describes a lipgloss library.  Both the eyeshadow quads are fairly neutral with a little pop of colour and they are fairly small so great for travelling.  The first one is lunar rose which has quite a subtle purple tone to the quad. Within the quad there is a baby pink matte shade a bronze shimmer shade, a very pale lilac shimmer shade and a deep purple with glitter running through it. Both quad's comes with an actual mini brush instead of a sponge applicator which is great if you're on the go. This I paired with the little star lip gloss which is a baby pink which I'm obsessed with recently.  The second look that I've done h

I realised that I have already done a review of this palette when I first got it last summer. So I thought it might be helpful to review it again because your opinions do change of product's. The palette judging by the name is very neutral but has a mixture of matte and shimmers. This palette I really like for everyday wear and also the shadows are so blendable.  The packaging is very compact and easy to travel with. The only downer if you are travelling with it is that it doesn't come with a mirror. However apart from that I really really love the design. The shades do look very similar however some of them are matte's and some are shimmery.   So going from left to right the shade names are pure- a perfect highlight soft & sexy- warm brown with shimmer  smooth harmony- brown with a hint of pink forever yours- mid- tone brown with a hint of purple slow dance- matte brown  First love- white shimmer perfect for

brand focus- soap and glory

Image
The brand soap and glory actually started not as early as some may think. In 2006 Marcia Kilgore moved from Canada to New york City after the success of her first brand which was Bliss. Bliss was a Spa and after the appearances of Calvin Klien she knew she had made big. However she wanted to make a selection of product's that were more affordable. She actually said in one article "that you shouldn't spend an arm and a leg to moisturise one!". That's when Soap and Glory was launched as a UK only (for a while) brand. Soap and Glory are now regularly available in boots stores and also at Harvey Nichols. Soap and glory make a wide range of product's from skincare to make-up. However the most popular is probably the righteous butter with apparently one of these being sold every couple of seconds! Here are some of my personal favourites.  The Righteous butter has to be one of my favourite body butter's. If you haven't tried it then it's a re

real techniques brushes

Recently I've picked up the oval shadow brush from their bold metals collection which is higher price point of brushes that are available from boots and superdrug. So I thought that I would compare this brush with the base shadow brush from their original collection which is a similar shape.  So as you can see the size of the bold metal's brushes is longer. It also has a triangular grip which I much rather prefer. The actual application for both brushes is quite different. The base shadow is great for laying down colour for a base on the lid and I also like to use it to blend colour into the crease. The bold metals brush is fatter with the brush but is also much much softer. This is really nice when blending as you not going to irritate the skin around the eye.  There is also a difference in price you can buy all the bold metals brushes indivually and this is £15.00.This brush is comparable to the MAC 217 which I haven't actually tried but it's a sim

boots haul (yes another one)

Image
I was watching zoella boots haul the other day and had to pick up a few more bits.  So the first thing I picked up was a new shower gel and my favourites are from soap and glory but I thought I would give something else a go. This is the nivea powerfruit delight which I haven't used yet but smells very fresh and this was only £1 If you've been reading my blog recently then you'll know that I've been loving the max factor creme puff blush so I decided to pick up some more shade. I choose the colour's lovely pink which is a gorgeous baby pink and seductive pink which is a deeper pink with more purpley shades running through it. These were £8.99 each.   Also if you spent £15 or more then you got this free set which includes. The false lash effect waterproof mascara, colour elixir lipstick in the shade start dust pink and a glossfinity nail polish in the shade 72 pink'ed. Any boots haul wouldn't be complete without the essentials

What's in my handbag feb 2016

This is my first post of this kind and I din't why I haven't done it before, I just think I've never thought of it. I tend to switch bag quite a lot as I have a couple that are great for different situations. The one that I'm using at the moment is bag only branded bag and it's the ted baker large tote bag. I was trying to find this on there website but this exact one isn't available anymore. I was quite lucky when I got mine because I bought it when there was a massive sale on.  The bag itself has one outer pocket which has a magnet popper closing and 3 inner pocket's. You can also make the bag bigger and smaller by zipping the zip''s on the sides up and down. The thing that I would say is if you do get this kind of colour then be carful as if you put on the floor it will mark the bottom. The hard wear is gold which I really like. Also if you want to do it up there is only one fastener and you can still reach in the bag so just be aware of
