Summer glow

Image
This week I have really been into a glowy, fresh make-up look. So I've used the Bourjois 123 perfect CC which feel very light but still has good coverage. For bronzer and blush I used the rimmel sculpting palette which is great for on the go as you have everything in one. I did however used a separate highlighter which is the revlon one I reviewed the other day which I am obsessed with. For my eyes I used my H&M colour essence in Earth Angel which is great if you want something really quite on your eyes. For mascara I used clinique chubby mascara which is really good and really lengthening. Finally for lip I used another H&M product which is one of their creme lipstick in the shade Rambling Rose which is a lovely shade for this time of year.  I really like this kind of look for this time of year as it's quite glowy and light but with a lovely bold spring lip.

Revlon highlight in rose glow

Image
If you saw my post last week then you'll know that I made a few purchases. One of the them was this revlon highlight which I'm so in love with right now. This is similar to the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick, now I've never tried them so I can't offer a comparison as I don't know.  I find that this is such a nice glow to the cheeks and can also be use as a subtle blush if you don't like anything to bold. I find that this is such a good product for this time of year as a bit of highlighter looks amazing with a tan! You get this from boots and superdrug in the UK and where ever Revlon is sold in the world. In the U.K this product retails for £9.99. This compared to the Bobbi Brown one which is £33.00 is amazing value.

Healthy mix foundation and concealer

Image
Recently I have found myself reaching for this base duo over a lot of my other foundations and concealer. The foundation I have before but I recently repurchased it as my old one was running low. However I came across the concealer as I think that there was a deal on Bourjois so I thought I would give the concealer a go. Coverage I would say that they are both of a medium coverage, which I like because it covers up what you want to cover but doesn't look like you're caked in make-up. I would also say that the actual feel of the foundation is quite moisturising and dewy. So if you do have more of an oilier skin then this may not be for you.  The shades I have is 52 Vanilla in the foundation and 51 in the concealer. These duo is create if you have pale skin. You can get this duo from Boots and Superdrug and these retail for £10.99 for the foundation and £7.99 for the concealer. There is also a 3 for 2 on Bourjois and the moment.

The things that I've forgotten about

Image
As a beauty blogger I am constantly trying and testing new product's. This means that unfortunately I sometimes forget about things that I loved even if it was only 6 months ago. Also before I start if you have quite a large make-up collection then I challenge you to find 10 things that you haven't used for a while and put them in your make-up bag to try and use them more. So starting of with a base product and this I used to use nearly every day. This is the make-up revolution ultra blush palette in golden sugar. This I loved because it has bronzer, blush and highlight in one palette. This I bought last and loved it so I need to bring it back.  Moving onto eyes I wanted this palette for so long but after discovering so many more amazing eyeshadows palettes it was put to the back of my collection. This is the urban decay naked 2 which you've probably heard of. I really wanted a naked palette and spent a good few month's deciding which one to ge

My top 3 liquid lipsticks

Image
I feel that over the last few month's I have been really getting into liquid lipsticks. Before I wasn't really interested in liquid lipsticks as I always thought that they were messy and can be quite drying to your lips. From left to right Fleur de Force lipgloss in Starry, Starry night. NYX Soft Matte lip cream in Milan  Revlon Ultra HD MATTE LIPCOLOR  MY THOUGHTS The Fleur de force lip gloss in Starry, Starry night is quite a dark pink which I loved for the colder months or in the evening a I don't really suit bright red. Fleur de force has 6 colours in her range is this one of the darkest. She also has more natural colours so if a bold lip isn't your look they you can go for more of the neutral, subtle shades. The next one is the newest edition to my liquid lipstick collection which is the NYX soft matter lip cream in Milan which is quite a deep almost brown pink. These are so nice to wear especially as they are matte

What I have purchased recently

Image
So over the past week of so I've been picking up a few bits and bobs and I thought that I would share them with you. Also let me know if have purchased any of this product's and what you think of them. So the first thing is a revlon ultra hd matte lipcolor. If you've been reading my blog then you'll know I already have one of these and love it. That's I decided to pick up another one and this is in the shade flirt. This retails for £8.99 each.  If you read my blog then you'll know that my favourite cleanser is the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. However I hadn't actually tried any of her of product's and as I was running out of my moisturiser I decided to pick up the skin repair moisturiser which you can use morning and night as it doesn't have SPF. This is £20.95 so yes you can get cheaper moisturisers however Liz Earle is more of a premium brand.   Moving onto make-up revlon were doing a deal where if you spent over £14.99 on re

NYX eyeshadow in 74 Gold Lust

Image
If you've been reading my blog recently then you'll know that I've been loving the brand NYX at the moment especially their eye product's. So as I was at my local NYX stand the other day and picked up a few more of the eyeshadows as I've been loving the baked shadow that I got a while a go. So I picked up a couple of their hot singles eyeshadows. One of them is very summer appropriate and this is in Gold Lust which is almost a burnt orange will shimmer running through it. I really like this because it so easy to pop on your lids blend it and then you're done! I really like this size of these eyeshadows because they are perfect for travel and in your make-up bag. I would really recommend going and checking out your nearest NYX counter or they are online if you don't have a counter near you. These little hot singles eyeshadows retails for £3.50 which ok isn't the cheapest of eyeshadows for the highstreet eyeshadows however the pigmentation is amazing a

What is the difference between contouring and bronzing

Image
Recently I've found that a lot of bloggers and youtubers are talking about contouring as it seems to be the thing at the moment. However I find that some people can get a little bit confused about what is contouring and what is bronzing? So the main difference is that contouring is about add more dimension's to your face so can create the illusion of having cheek's. Bronzing is more about giving you that summer look and adding colour to your face. Some bronzer's can be use as contours depending on your face tone and colour. However it's important to make sure it's matte so that you can achieve a good contour. So this is the maybelline master sculpt which I have spoke about for a couple of years now and I really love it. This has a contour colour which is matte and a highlight shade which is really subtle but nice. This is the perfect shade for contouring if you're pale like me. With this I use this under my cheek bones to add a shadow to create the

Bourjois CC cream

Image
I've realised that I've been using this for a couple of weeks now since I purchased it but haven't actually reviewed it. So that's what I'm going to do today. I have mine in the shade 31 Ivory which is great if you've got very pale skin like me. The coverage it would it light to medium and I can normally tell what kind of coverage it has depending on whether or not it covers up my freckles. So this doesn't but still covers any blemishes or redness I have so perfect for everyday. The formula is quite light so it's quite easy to blend it into your skin. The only thing I don't understand with this is the colour correction aspect of this product. This claims to have apricot pigments for Anti-Fatigue, Green for Anti- Redness and white for Anti darkness spots. The reason why I don't understand this is because you're applying this product all over your face and surely for colour correction it needs to be targeted. However apart from that the p

Mascara's the good, the bad and the ugly (updated)

Image
I realised that a while ago I did a post running you through my mascara's collection, what I love, what I can take or leave and also what I've tried and would never use again. So starting of with the good stuff, these will probably be no surprised to anyone and I've talked about these so much. The first one is the Maybelline Lash Sensational, this is absolutely amazing and I've been using this for over a year now and love what it does to my lashes. The next one is another one that I go on and on about but I've only had it since the start of the year. It's the Revlon Volume and length. Revlon re-launch of all their mascara's this year with the idea to simplify the mascara world. I have all the line and I do use they other but not as much as this one. My other favourite which is a fairly new mascara but I've found my wearing it so much. This is the L'oreal Infalliable sculpt which is a quite a unique mascara to the one's I have.

My holy grail top 10

Image
So here on my blog I talk about a lot of different products. So I thought that it would be a god idea to go through the whole of my collection and narrow down the product's that I can't live without. I realise that some of these product's are fairly new and some I've had for a while. However I just find these product's I go back to and if I was to loose them or they were to run out I would re-purchase them.  So the first thing is a eyeshadow palette and this is the Too Faced Chocolate Bon-Bons palette. This I've only had for a few weeks but I just find that it has the perfect combination of neutral and bright shades that you could do so many looks with this. Yes it's a little bit more expensive but I think if I was to only have one this would be the one I would choose.  I have also included a cream eyeshadow as these are a go to for me day to day. This is a matte in the shade creamy beige which I love.  For base I have chosen

Nyx soft matte lips creams

Image
While I was in boots the other day I noticed that they had a NYX counter which I was so excited about as my local store doesn't have one. So while I was there I decided to pick up a few bits. Within this I pick up a few of the soft matte lip creams as I have heard so many people talking about them and wanted to know what the hype was all about. I pick up the shades Milan and Antwerp which I know look very similar, however Milan is more of a muted pink and Antwerp is more of a Coral. The texture of the product is quite interesting as they feel quite light but are still matte and you almost forget they are on your lips. I sometimes find liquid lipsticks to be quite drying especially if they are matte. However these feel very light and still have amazing pigmentation. Milan  Antwerp  Also the wear time of these is also pretty good. I wore these yesterday evening in that time I ate a meal and had multiple drinks and yet they didn't really budge. Another good t
