Top 3 concealer's

Image
Top 3 concealer's I think concealer is something that people get confused about, what shade to pick and where to put it. This is because there two types of concealer's one that is meant to be use for spot and blemishes, which most people know about and then there is also highlighting concealer's which are used to add light to your face but still concealer's light blemishes and small blemishes within those area's.  The most famous highlighting conceal is the YSL Touche Eclat which is even through is good it's pretty pricey at £25.00. So I was in boots a while ago and saw that Barry M have tried to do a high street alternative. This is the flawless light reflector concealer, the only thing I would say about this is that it claims to be total in perfection cover. This is I don't really agree with, this is because it's very light and very brightening so it's great under the eyes but not for spots. You can pick this up from boots and superdru

Things that I bought because of youtube/ blogs

Things that I bought because of youtube/blogs  Within the the beauty online community certain products get hyped up too the point where you feel that you need it more than anything. I have been suck in to buy these products on more than one occasions, so I thought that I would run through these products and tell you whether they're good or bad and also wheather they are worth the hype the get online.  My first is going to be no surprise to anyone who has watched any beauty video because basically everyone has talk about it at some point and it's the collection lasting perfection concealer. I first heard about this product from Zoella (who you've probably heard of either from her youtube channel or her beauty range) and then I heard Missbudgetbeauty mentioning it in. So I thought that I just needed as it was amazing. Since buying I think that yes it does have coverage, I totally love and best of all it's £3.99 which is amazing. My next product is the

top 5 nude lips

Image
Top 5 nude/ neutral lips  My first one is probably the most expensive of my five and it's the Clarins instant lip perfector. This product is kind of light a natural gloss which a slight colour. The scent of this product is just amazing it smells like vanilla and I just love it!! Like I said before it's the most expensive one at £18.00. My next one is from maybelline and if you saw my post earlier in the week then you may have already seen this but this is probably the most bold colour of the five but still very wearable. This is the maybelline colour sensational in petal pink. I really like this colour because it's not quite matte but it so nearly is. My third one is from rimmel and it's called nude pink. Shade name wise I think that this is quite disappointing as a nude pink I think of being a your lips but better, however this lipstick has quite a orangery undertone. The finish of this lipstick is quite glittery and glossy so

battle of the brands/ products- collection vs urban decay

battle of the brands/ products- collection vs urban decay So over the past few months I have been doing these post's comparing different products either high vs lower end but also comparing different products in the high street and as I have been talking quite a lot about urban decay (by the way I'm not sponsored by them I just really love there product's), I thought that I would see whether the eyes uncovered by collection palette is a good dupe for it.  This product is available from boots and superdrug and it's £3.99 Comparing this to the high end I'm using the urban decay naked basics. Colour wise they are very comparable however the formulation the urban decay is more buttery but at the same time the Urban Decay is around £20.00 and the collection is £4 so you would expect the urban decay palette to be better for the price you pay. Overall I would say that if you have the

September Favourites

september Favourites  So it'scoming to the end of another month and it's time to my favourites. I actually can't believe how FAST september has gone, but it's means that we are closer to christmas. Leave a comment below if you are excited about christmas!! Anyway back to my favourites this month I have been using some different products and if you are regular reader of my blog then I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself but the products I blog about are the products that I am actually using.  So my first products is the cleanser that I have been using these past few months and it's the body shop vitamin E cream cleanser. I have been having some really bad breakouts this month and this cleanser has just really helped because it's not a miracle worker and is going to clear it up over night but if you continue to use it twice a day then it will help to clear breakout's. I also used the matching night cream which is quite thick but I tend to us

Bare-minerals complexion rescue

Image
Bare-Minerals complexion rescue  There seemed to be so much speculation about this product over the summer that I thought I would give it a go. The formulation is gel based so it aims to be lighter than a normal foundation. This product does claim to have all the perfect of all the alphabet cream's and tinted moisturiser's but still being light on the skin. You can choose from 8 shades which means that whatever you skin tone you can try it out. The product cost's £26.00 which is quite a high-end cost but I feel it's worth it as it's quite a unique product in what it does.

My Top 5 Palettes

Image
My top 5 Palettes!! NO.1 Collection Eyes uncovered nude palette- I really love this product and I have done a whole review of this so make sure to check my blog if you want more info. Urban Decay Naked 2- If you've been reading my blog for a while then you'll know that I have really got into urban decay shadow. Yes I know they are more expensive than most eyeshadow's but they are worth it!! This product retails for £38.00 so yes it is expensive but urban decay is more of a premium brand and in my opinion it's so worth it. Before I bought the naked 2 I first purchase the naked basics which I absolutely love. It's so easy to through in your make-up bag and has the perfect shades to go from a very neutral eye to quite smoky as you can the black as a blending shade or a liner want a softer look. I really love this and it's my number 1 palette for travelling. This product retails for £23.00 but the pigmentation you get it's so worth it.

Brand focus makeup look- Maybelline

Image
Brand Focus make-up look- Maybelline So whilst planning out the posts that I want to do this week I thought that I would do a series of blog posts that focus on particular brand. This week I'm going to start with Maybelline. I have loved this brand for ages and I realised that I could do a whole make-up look.  So starting with base I'm going to use that Fit me foundation and concealer. I love this range because it looks so natural and it's light weight so perfect for people who want coverage but don't want that heavy foundation feeling. I have the shade 115/ ivory which is so perfect for me and I am very pale. I also used the corresponding concealer which I used both under my eyes and on blemishes. This feels the same as the foundation so very light but still has coverage I do sometimes use this on it's own because like I said it has coverage but not to much so if you are in a hurry but want some coverage then this is really good for those situation&#

Soap and glory lip laquer -disappointing!!

Image
Soap and glory sexy mother pucker lip laquer. I usually really really love Soap and Glory products but like with any brand I normally come across (bar exceptions) there are products that don't quite make the bench mark and this is one of them. I just found this to be really thick and felt heavy on the lips. Also when I swatched it for this post I felt it was super sticky and just didn't feel nice. Now I know that lip glosses should have an aspect of stickiness to them but this just felt like I was putting PVA glue on my lips it was horrible. I really wouldn't recommend this product even if you like lip lacquers. If you are in interest of this kind of products then the apocalips from rimmel are so much better than these (If you are reading this and you like in the states then they are called the show-off's.
