Whats in this months make-up bag- august!!!


I started this last months and as it got such a HUGE response I thought that I would carry it on for this month. This post also helps me as well because it means that I can see what I am using and switch it up every month to make sure that I am using all my make up. 

So to start of with base I have two products that I have been switching between this month. my first is the boujois healthy mix serum if you saw my post about this then you'll know that I love this foundation. I won't go into too much detail as I have that post that I did yesterday. The other base that I am using is the topshop BB cream which I used last month as well. For concealer I am using the maybelline which is really good for blemishes and under- eyes so you can use this if you just need some coverage but don't want to put a foundation on. If you saw last months instalment then you will know that I love the foundation of this and I will sometime use these together as well. For powder I haven't change still using the rimmel stay matte which I just absoulutely love!!




For cheeks I have been using a couple of products and the are both from Bourjois. One of them is a powder blush and the other is a cream blush. The shades I have 48 Ashes of Roses for the powder which is a very pretty rose quite natural colour. The shade I have in the cream blush 03 rose tender. The actual blush is a cream to powder so they are quite is to blend and not very sticky, they then dry to a powder finish look. I know the colour look quite dark for pink blushes but I have quite pale skin and they do look quite natural on me. 

For bronzer and highlight I have been using the maybelline master sculpt which was release a couple of months ago. I really like this because the contour is not to dark so it look OK on my skin. However the highlight is really, really nice and gives you a nice sheen to your skin. The only thing I would say about this is that when I bought this the highlighter was smash so I don't whether it's because the formula is soft but I was very disappointed about that. 






So as always I have my trusty two eye liners a black and a nude. The nude one is the Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof Kohl Kajal. This is so soft and easy to blend. It's so handy having a nude eyeliner because if you have red eyes from not having enough sleep then you can used a nude eyeliner to brighten your eyes up. My black eyeliner I am using at the moment is the Maybelline Linerefine eyeliner. This is a little more rough than the rimmel one but you can get a bold black line. 


For Mascara I am using one of my favourite Mascara's which is the lash accelerator endless from rimmel. This Mascara's is so good at lengthening your lashes but not to a point where they look fake. 


For eyeshadow I am using the rimmel Magnif'eyes mono eye shadow's. I have the colour 002 Millionaire and 001 Gold record. This shadow are very buttery and easy to blend. 

 For Lips I am using a few products at the moment the first one is the revlon ultra hd lipstick in Hydrangea which is quite a bright poppy pink however you can only put a little bit on the lips and blend it out to have more of a subtle look.
 The maybelline elixir's are ok but I was just expecting more from this as they look bold in the packaging but when I applied it on my lips it just wasn't the same so very disappointed by this!!

I have also been using a product that I saw on miss budget beauty channel which is the revelon matte balm. I have the shade elusive which is quite a natural pretty pink colour. 


If you saw my blog the other day I did a post about the natural collection summer collection which I absolutely love it's quite bold and almost look red in some lights, but definitely a summer colours

Always remember where we came from

Over the past couple of months I feel that my body has let me down in many ways. It made me ill out of blue which meant I had to build myself up again which I wasn't planning to do. However after doing this I've know realised what's important, after having this blog for nearly 6 years and posting about beauty and my story it's important to remember why I do what I do. I was at a family event yesterday, and after speaking to one of my relatives who actually reads this blog, I suddenly realised that I've kind of lost touch with why I do, what I do. My story is unique and I am very lucky to have a physical condition but still be able to do what I love. The Evolution of my beauty habits

So for a while now I've been meaning to get on the blogging band wagon but have been unsure how to as it's been quite a while. So I was going to do a favourites to explain what I have been using these past few months, however instead I thought I would talk about something that has been apparent to a lot of people and has been issue with quite a few friends of mine as well. Over the past few years the online beauty community has grown and grown. This is partly because anyone can set up a blog as long as you've got some sort of camera and access to the internet then you set up a blog. However with this growth means there are more and more people talking or writing about things that they have enjoyed or not. Depending on how many followers that person has can depend on how far that information travelled. This is partly how we get "hype up" products because the more and more people that talk about this one product mean the more and people who then want to go buy...

An alternative to the tangleteezer....

I've heard so many people talk about how much they love the Tangleteezer. So being a blogger I knew I needed to try it out. After trying it I didn't really get on with it. I understand the shape of it, is meant to fit nicely into your hand and make it easy to brush you hair. However I just found it really hard to grip to actually brush my hair.  So following this if you saw my post on friday you will know that I opened the Look Fantastic box for this month. Within this was the wet brush and after using it for a couple of days I find it so much easier to use. I think because it's an actual hairbrush but at the same glides through wet hair getting out any knots.
