2016 favourites- base

So I'm back after what feels like forever. I'm very sorry that I didn't finish Blogmas, I was so busy during December that I just have time to write and upload everyday! I hope that you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year and are getting back to normal after having a break.



Starting of with base the primer that I've loved this year the Benefit Professional. This is only the sample size but I really enjoyed how it smooth over everything and definitely helps to keep my foundation on for longer. 


For Foundation I have used the Clinique superbalanced make-up pretty much all year. If you've read my blog before then you'll know that I do struggle to find my correct shade as I'm quite fair skin. However this just feels like second skin but still gives good coverage and last's all day.  




For concealer I have two. The one that I've loved for making me look more awake than I actually am is the L'oreal Lumi Magique highlighting pen. This is so easy to blend and doesn't look like you have a glitter ball under your eyes. 




I feel like this is everybody's and their dogs favourite concealer. The collection Lasting Perfection concealer which is just the best thing for covering up spots. 



For bronze/ contour that could be only one clear favourite and that's the benefit hoola bronzer. If you have fair skin like I do then this is great as it's not to muddy.


My favourite blush of the year is Max Factor creme puff blushes. This one is in lavish mauve which is a really nice natural everyday colour and I especially loved in it the colder months.

Always remember where we came from

Over the past couple of months I feel that my body has let me down in many ways. It made me ill out of blue which meant I had to build myself up again which I wasn't planning to do. However after doing this I've know realised what's important, after having this blog for nearly 6 years and posting about beauty and my story it's important to remember why I do what I do. The Evolution of my beauty habits

So for a while now I've been meaning to get on the blogging band wagon but have been unsure how to as it's been quite a while. So I was going to do a favourites to explain what I have been using these past few months, however instead I thought I would talk about something that has been apparent to a lot of people and has been issue with quite a few friends of mine as well. Over the past few years the online beauty community has grown and grown. This is partly because anyone can set up a blog as long as you've got some sort of camera and access to the internet then you set up a blog. However with this growth means there are more and more people talking or writing about things that they have enjoyed or not. Depending on how many followers that person has can depend on how far that information travelled. An alternative to the tangleteezer....

I've heard so many people talk about how much they love the Tangleteezer. So being a blogger I knew I needed to try it out. After trying it I didn't really get on with it. I understand the shape of it, is meant to fit nicely into your hand and make it easy to brush you hair. However I just found it really hard to grip to actually brush my hair.  So following this if you saw my post on friday you will know that I opened the Look Fantastic box for this month. Within this was the wet brush and after using it for a couple of days I find it so much easier to use. I think because it's an actual hairbrush but at the same glides through wet hair getting out any knots.
