January favourites So what's a month it's been! This has been probably one of the best I've ever had since starting this blog and it's done to you guys. So before I get into the product's I've been loving I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has read my blog this month and also to my amazing friends who have supported me through this (and making my birthday special!!) It definitely onwards and upwards from here on.  Most of these will be no surprised as I've not stop talking about them but starting with cleanser I have to mention the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I know I haven't stop talking about it so I will sum it up in one word AMAZING!! My next item is the Makeup Revolution Highlighting palette I haven't stop using it this month. I just love the glow it gives and for the money it definitely such a stand out.  Also I have to mention my newest addition to my MAC lipstick collection in bombshell l...

What I got for my birthday!!

Image
What I got for my birthday 2016 If you have seen my blog recently then you'll know that it was my birthday this week. This year I wasn't quite sure what I wanted so these are all present's that my friend's and family have chosen for me. I also received some voucher's from family and my mum got me a year's subscription to glossy box. A lot of my friends know that I write this blog so there was definitely a theme with them all.  Firstly my Friends Elle and Lizzie gave me my christmas and birthday present's in one go as I don't seem them very often. So I received the Morris & CO. bath duo which contains a body wash and body wash and I absoulately love the packaging. The other present is a brush set from the vintage cosmetic company which I was so excited when I opened this as I have a few product's from this brand and love them.    I received some absolutely lovely present's from my colleagues at work. They also know that I wr...

live your life !!!

live your life!! At the start of this month I did a post that was title as it's ok to be you and I got so much amazing feedback that I thought that I would do a blog post about this topic when ever I feel like. Even through my blog is mainly do with my beauty I also feel that I can talk about things that matter to me and share my thoughts.  As you know I have a disability and this has definitely had both a positive and a negative effect on how I live my life. However the main thing I learnt is that your life is not over and you can achieve amazing things if you set your mind to it. I actually work with children with disabilities now which is so rewarding and I'm giving back the next generation.  When I was a child I was told that I would never get anywhere in life. This really frustrated me because you never know. You never know how your life is going to plan out and what's you're going to achieve. However you control that and you create whatever yo...

empties 5

Image
empties 5 Recently I've used up quite a lot of product's so I thought I would do another one of these post's to let you know my opinion of each of them and whether I would repurchase them. It's also my birthday today so definitely a good time to do a empties as normally I like to treat myself around my birthday  If you read my hair routine post then you will know what I think of these product's. These are the tresemme renewal hair and scalp love these and would repurchased.   Redken extreme length primer mask sample. I received this in my feel unique advent calendar and absolutely love it. I got about three uses out of it as I have quite short hair. This just made me feel strong but also really soft. If you have a problem with breakage in your hair then I would really recommend it.    Body shop vitamin E night cream. I have mention it so much in skin care routine and other post's. However this does work wo...

my birthday make-up look

Image
My birthday make-up look  It's my birthday tomorrow so I thought I would do a make-up look as I've got family coming round today to celebrate it with me.  For primer I was debating between the benefit porefessional or the rimmel fix and perfect primer which is a clear gel that just smooth's onto my skin really nicely. For foundation I've used my trusty max factor face finity foundation as it's the one foundation the keeps me flawless all day long and it doesn't feel to heavy on the skin.  For concealer I used my favourite two that I always used if I'm doing a full face of make-up. for blemishes and redness I've the collection lasting perfection concealer and even through I always used the picture I have recently picked a new one. For under my eyes I used the barry m flawless light reflector concealer which is great for creating brighter under-eyes. For contour I used my favourite product the maybelline maste...

battle of the brands/product's hot cloth cleanser's

Image
Battle of the brand's/product's hot cloth cleanser's If you've been reading my blog recently then you'l know that I'm really loving the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser. However whilst I was in superdrug the other day I found that there vitamin E range do a pretty similar product for just a fraction of the price. So I picked it up so I could a comparison to see if the Liz Earle one is worth the money.  So the superdrug one comes with one muslin cloth and a 200ml tube. The scent is quite clean and not to strong. It's very moisturising and gentle but still removes all your maker-up and dirt on the face from that day. This retails for £4.99 which is amazing value. Where as the Liz Earle one is £14.00 for 100ml. The thing I would say about the packaging is the Liz Earle one comes out of a pump which is easier to control to the superdrug which is a squeezing tube.  Where as the Liz Earle even though I gave it an amazing review the other week ...

new stuff make-up look

Image
New stuff make-up look Recently I have been picking up a few things and a lot that I will do a make-up look combining them all.  Starting with foundation I decided to pick up the boujois air mat foundation as I head fleurdeforce rave and rave about it. However I'm a bit on the fence as it's slightly to dark for me and unfortunately that's the lightest shade the do. So I might save it for the summer to see what it's like when I have a bit of a tan. For contour and blush I used the ciate Olivia Palermo in bluff point which I picked up the other day and will do a full review on very soon but so far so good! This makeup look does basically show how much I watch fleur de force because I'm using two product from her own make-up range which you can purchase from feelunique.com  . I really love this quad because you can go from day to night so easily. She has two quad's which I both have this one is 010 cosmic bronze.  The ot...

my top picks for easy basic make-up for the new year

Image
My top pick's for easy basic make-up look for the new year So it's the new year and normally we think of a fresh start. I did a post the other day showing my top tips for having clearer skin. One of the tip's I wrote was to wear less make-up because it helps your skin to breathe.  I find that I don't always want to wear foundation so concealer is a great alternative. This is the classic the one that I always talk about and it's the collection lasting perfecting concealer.  For a little bit of colour on the lid I just use the colour tattoo in on and on bronze this is a just a really easy colour to apply and wear.  And lastly for the face I like to keep it pretty basic so I use the freedom pro highlight in ambient which just gives me a nice glow. Also I use quite a natural blush at the moment I'm loving this H&M blushes this one is in the shade pale pink.

Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer

Image
Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer I had so much about this product on blogs and youtube and really wanted to try it. So I was really excited when I got this sample. This is a intensive super conditioning pre shampoo treatment. So basically you add this before your shampoo to all over your hair but personally I only add this to my ends and mid lengths. I find this amazing for strengthening my hair now I have quite short hair and I like having this length but I feel that my hair is sometimes quite weak. This is probably because I'm a blogger I try quite a lot of product's and also use a lot of heat. This just a really nice refresher for your hair and just makes my hair feel so bouncy.  The full size of this is for 75ml is £16.00 but this sample size is 40ml which will probably last me a couple of uses.

My current favourite way to apply foundation

Image
Nicka K airbrush blending sponge. I have heard from a long time about these sponges and that they are meant to make your skin look flawless and airbrushed. The most famous one of these is the beauty blender which is £16.00 which just seems ridiculous for a sponge. That's why I was so excited to receive this is my glossy box and I could try this way of applying my foundation without wasting my money.  The way you are meant to use this is my dampen it and then squeezing the excess water out of the sponge before applying foundation. I wanted to give this a good go and tried it with my max factor facefinity all day flawless foundation which is probably my most heaviest foundation I wear. I've have to  say that this didn't let me down it just went on like it's never done before. It also so easy to get in to everywhere because it has the little point at the end which means you can get into your inner corner of the eye and around your nose. I might try the really te...

Glossy box january 2016

Image
Glossy box january 2016 As you all seemed to have liked the december version of this post I thought that I would go through what product's are included in this month's glossy box. I haven't actually tried any of these products as I haven't had a chance but I might do separate review of each of them depending on whether or not I like them.  Like last month as I think every month you received 5 products some are full size and some are luxury sample size.   Starting with a glossybox eyeshadow in mauve. This looks different colours in different lights because in the picture it looks quite lilac/ purple however when seeing it in real life it looks more brown. This is a full size product and retails for £7.10 The next full size product is a emite powder blush in the shade 108. This I would use as a blush/contour as it's the right kind of shade for my skin.  This retails for £20.50 and you can get it from emitemakeup.com. Personally I wo...
