blogmas day 3!! adding colour to your make-up
Adding colour to your make-up
This time of year I find that I gravtate towards the brown's and nudes for my make-up rountine. This is partly to do with the weather as it's dark and grey you just don't feel in the mood to wear bright pinks. Another reason could be that you are scared to add colour as too much can sometimes make you feel like a clown. The main tip is to find a focus point for your colour to be highlighted. This could be either your eyes, cheeks or lips. These are my picks for each of these areas.
Rimmel apocalips in apocaliptic is a great option if you prefer liquid lipsticks. This is quite a bold opaque, glossy colour on your lips. The only downside to this products is that the taste of the products is not good!
The Maybelline colour sensational matte lip stick's came out very recently and I have to say that they are amazing as they are the best of both worlds. They have amazing pigmentation but because they are matte they also last a really long time.
Bold blushes but sometimes look too much and like clown make-up. However if you keep your lips and eyes very neutral then it can look very flattering. I have two options that I personally love to use. Rimmel London mono blush in live pink has little bit of shimmer running through it so it almost looks like a highlighter as well. The other one I love to use is the revolution ultra blush palette in sugar and spice this is has some very bold pinks and coral shades but just as a tip with this is that a little bit goes a long way.
For eyes I am generally a neutrals lover. However from time to time I add a colour to the inner corner to add a contrast between colour the gold or rose gold in this palette are great for achieving this look.
