Book review Dream a little Dream

Image
I don't think that I have ever done a book review on this blog but there's a first time for everything. As I finished a book this afternoon and thought that I would review it. Dream a little Dream is by the lovely Giovanna Fletcher who if you don't know is the wife of Tom Fletcher. Without giving too much away this is about a girl called Sarah. She has recently split up with her boyfriend Dan after two years of being together. Immediately this book had my hooked as there is a lot going on and you can definitely relate to it in many ways. After a while Sarah starts to dream about a guy called Bret and without giving too much away things do get very interesting. Also her job in London as PA is one of the most tedious jobs out there. However things get very interesting when a new guy joins the company. Definetely a good summer read as it keeps your interested. I never used to be someone who really reads a lot however this book I enjoyed so much that it's got me back into...

What will be happening on living life with beauty

Image
I have had a long think this weekend about my blog and what will be next for it. I find that I do write a lot of post's and they can be so varied on topics that you never know what you're going to get. So I've decided that I am going to be doing a lot more high-end than high street. Also I will probably only be uploading 1 or 2 times a week. This is because I do have a full time job outside of blogging and a health condition that I don't want to go overboard and end up back in hospital. Now that some of you won't like this change but I feel that this is the best for me and I can do really in depth reviews instead of quick reviews that maybe don't live up to the standard. When I say high-end I don't mean that I will be changing to all Chanel make-up I will just be moving away from the more low-cost budget options. Although they will still be some reviews. I hope you will be reading my blog as all my readers are so amazing and I am so thankful for your sup...

Origins pods

Image
I was going to do a review of the british beauty blogger new Origins box. However as they are now sold out I thought that, that would be a little unfair. So I thought I'd review these pods that come in the box but you can buy individually. These seem such a good idea because I love using mask's when I travel but hate the thought of carry a big tube of something that I may only use a few times. However these pods are such a good idea because you can take a selection and then when you've used one you can just though it away. After doing a little bit of research I found that you can get a set of 6 of these pods for £15 from www. lookfantastic.com  . So yes this may seem pretty pricey but it's also a great way of discovering new product's as well.

What's on my lips right now!

Image
At the moment I have been reaching for 5 lip product's that I just can't get enough. The first one is from Maxfactor colour exilir in the shade Stardust pink 615. I really like this shade for everyday as it's slightly darker than my natural lip colour so doesn't look too much.r The next one is NYX soft matte lip cream and this one looks pink on the swatch but is more coral. This is in the shade Antwerp. This is great for this time of year as it looks great with a tan.  My next one can be quite tricky to wear as it's quite blue tone. However I really like it with a subtle eye. This is a Maybelline colour sensational in 168 pink petal which has a matte finish so last's longer.  My only balm type product is a revlon balm in the shade honey douche this has a purple tone to it which I love as I don't always want bright pink on my lips. I think that this will also be a shade that I will carry through to the autumn as it's perfect for that time of ...

Look Fantastic box July 2016

So this arrived on my doorstep the other day so I thought that I would run through the product's that were inside. The first thing I noticed in the box was exciting new collection from benefit. You've probably heard about the new brow collection that Benefit have just released unless you've been living under a rock as it's been everywhere. So within in the box was a mini size of the goof proof brow pencil, this is to fill in and shape the brow. This full size retails for £18.50. Next in the box was from the brand this works. This is the in transit camera close-up mask, moisturiser and primer in one. This is a sample size of 20ml and is packed with all kinds of ingredients which are beneficial for your skin like Hyaluronic Acid and Sunflower oils. The selling of this as well is that it's meant to be one of Victoria Beckham favourite beauty essentials!! There is one product from the box that I have already tried as I couldn't resist and it se...

Soap and glory smoothie star body buttercream

Image
I know I don't normally blog about single moisturiser's or body butter's but this one was the exception. I started using it this week and was instantly hook. I use the shower cream all the time as it's so moisturising and great if you can't be bothered or don't have time to moisturise after. The scent is pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla so it definetely has that nuttiest to it but mixed with the sweet vanilla it's very sweet. So if you're not a sweet scent kind of person then you're not going like this. I love body butters and have done for year's as they feel very luxurious. This one is no exception and also the scent linger's so if you put in on just before bed you can still smell it the next morning. Also the great thing about this brand is that it's affordable as well which is a bonus this body butter retails for £10.00 however you do get 300ml and I do find that a little bit goes a long way. I would recommend this if you wan...

Tonight I have been trying out another lush bath bomb which is frozen (pardon the pun for the title). This turn the water a really nice aqua blue which is basically the frozen colour (funny that eh?). I also noticed that the water almost glisten sort of like snow. I don't mean that there was large particles of glitter it just sort of sparkles which I really like.

June Favourites

So it's the end of another month which means it's time to take a look back at all the things that I've been loving this month!! Starting of with make-up I've got a few things that I've been reaching for a lot this month some which are pictured above. For base I been using the Benefit Hoola pretty much everyday as it's so easy to throw on and instantly it warms up your complexion.  I also have been loving and pretty much wearing everyday as well which is the Bourjois 123 perfect CC cream, now I know that I've already done a full review of this but I've just been reaching for it so much that I couldn't not mention it. It's so hydrating and it has SPF 15  which is always great for this time of year. I have mine in the shade ivory which is a good match if you've got pale skin like me.  Along with that I have been using soap and glory Glow All Our highlighting powder. I actually use all over my face as it's not to much. I ju...
