stop my stash the results !!

Image
Shop my stash the results!! A month ago I did a post called shop my stash which was looking through my make-up collection and picking out products that I don't tend to use that often. A month on I thought I would share how I got on and wheather I have found any new favourites!! Rimmel match perfection foundation I have kinda fallen back in love with foundation. It has the right ammount of coverage for this time of year but it also blend's really easily into the skin. Definetly one that will be staying in my make-up bag.  New- look pure colour foundation in porcelain I have also fallen back in love with. It just feels like a tinted moisturiser but it has more coverage so it's the best of both worlds.  maybeline matte maker powder definetly does what it says on the lid (not tin) however I do prefer the rimmel stay matte as it just sits better on my skin and lasts a little bit longer.  E.L.F brightening pot is amazing for the inner cor...

zoella Cosy toesy gift set

Image
Zoella cosy tosy gift set Zoella has recently launched a Christmas range to her collection with superdrug. The range itself has quite a good price range from little stocking filler's to a large beauty kit with most of her products. I only picked up one and this will actually be a gift from someone but I'm not going say who just in case they are reading this!! The kit itself contains two products which is a lovely pair of cosy socks which I love for winter time as the just make you feel cosy and I love wearing these around the house. The kit also contains soak opera both soak and shower cream which is really nourishing and moisturising. The scent of this is her original scent which I love. The bath soak also contains vitamin E, shea butter and aloe which is going to do good things for your skin. This set is £10 which is good as the bath soak on it's is £5. I would really recommend these set to teenagers as really fun and colourful packaging.  ...

Concealer where do I put it?

Image
Concealer where do I put it? I've realised that a lot of people do get confused about where to put concealer so that it covers up the right thing.  My first one is the rimmel last finish concealer which is more of a cream texture rather than a liquid texture. I find that this concealer is really good for blemishes and redness you can use this under your eyes however this is quite heavy so it doesn't add any brightness.  I know my next one you'll be sick to death of hearing and it's collection lasting perfect concealer. This is also amazing for cover blemishes up however it does do the same thing as the previous one. If I'm in a hurry then I will use this in place of foundation to cover up any major issues on my face.  The Maybelline fit me concealer is great for under-eyes and blemishes. I like to use this if I'm in a hurry because it's also really easy to blend. I have the foundation of this as well and would really reco...

Battle of the brands/ product's matte lip butter's

Image
Battle of the brands/product's collection matte lip butter vs revlon matte balm I was in superdrug the other day looking for my collection concealer and saw that they had released some matte lip butter which look very similar to one of my favourite lip product the revlon matte balms.  So as you can see from the swatches they are very similar the revlon is slighter darker but not by much. Texture wise they are very similar, they are extremely creamy but still have a matte finish. They also last a long time without topping up. I would say that if you don't have the budget for the revlon one then the collection one is a very good alternative.  collection work the colour matte lip butter in 01 marshmallow pink is £2.99.  revlon matte balm in elusive retails for £7.99.  So quite a big price difference between the two for basically the same product. I would say that if your in the market for this kind of product then go for the collect...

Rimmel lasting finish concealer

Image
Rimmel lasting finish concealer  Last week I was in superdrug looking for brand new things or things that I haven't tried before. I have seen this concealer so many times and I kinda over looked it because I found that the rimmel wake me up concealer as it was far to orange for my skin. However I looked at the shades and this one seems to be a good match for me. The concealer it self is quite high coverage so I would recommend using this on blemishes and redness, you can put it under the eyes however because it is quite thick it doesn't brighten the eyes. You pick it up from all rimmel stockists e.g boots, superdrug and supermarket's for around £5.

How to brighten the eyes/face

Image
How to brighten the eyes  This time of year especially my tend to get a little dull and not have much sparkle in them that's why I tend to rely on selection of products to bring life back into it.  Using highlighter and glowy blushes is a essential for me because it gives my that sheen. This is the revluotion palette in golden sugar which has a great selection of contour shade and blush/ highlight shades. I really like this for creating that sheen to my skin. My second product is one of my recent purchases which is the freedom pro-highlight in ambient. I have done a full review on this product so if you want to know more about the product and the brand itself then either such my blog or it's also linked on my facebook page. This is quite an usual product because usually drugstore/highstreet highlighter's give you that glitterball effect which us almost over the top. However this product is quite light and can be use as a all over face powder as well i...

freedom prohighlight

Image
Freedom pro-highlight Freedom has recently launched in some superdrug stores and I couldn't resist but give them a go. I have been watching their youtube channels since it launch it is done by missbudgetbeauty. This is in the shade ambient and  and it's meant to be a dupe for the hourglass now I haven't actually tried the powder as they are pretty pricey. However this is really nice as a high street highlighter it's very soft to swatch, I haven't actually done a swatch because it didn't stand out enough to be seen.  I would use this in two different ways one as a bold highlight but you could also use it as all of over face powder as it's glowy and not glittery. You can pick freedom up from superdrug and this product costs £3.00. So if you want to try the new on trend look of strobing where you add light rather than contouring which is where you add shadow to the face, then this is a really good product.    IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE...

batiste XXL Volume spray/ blogmas

Image
Bastiste XXL volume spray Recently it seems to be the new craze to add volume to your hair. Many high-end brands are also bringing out these products however they do come with the high end price tag. That's why I was so excited that batiste have release a range of styling products and because it's bastiste you know it's affordable. I have the XXL volume spray which is amazing to add body and life you hair without weighing it down with loads of product's. Within the range they also have a taming spray for those little fly aways, A plumping powder, hairspray and a heat and shine spray which is amazing for styling dry hair. So a wide range of quality product's that you buy from the drugstore/ highstreet. Each product is around the £5 mark and they all come in a 200ml can so you get a lot for your money. I would recommend these if you want to try these types of product's but don't want to splash out £40 for the oribe one.  ALSO JUST A QUICK ANNOUCEM...

Battle of the brands/ product's colour tattoo vs H&M Colour essence

Image
Battle of the brands/product's colour tattoo vs H&M colour essence. Over the past couple of months I have been doing some comparisons between product's and brands to see what's best on the market. Recently H&M have moved into the beauty world and have a large range of product's and basically sell everything you could need product wise maybe not quality wise.   The difference between the two is that The H&m product feels a lot more buttery on the eye where as the colour tattoo is more like a balm that you blend into the eye. For lasting power the are about the same that they lasts all day and are also really easy to apply. Price wise the Maybelline one is £4.99 and the H&M one is the same price.

make-up look formal !!

Image
Make-up look formal So recently I have been doing so make-up for different occasions. So today I thought I would do a quite formal high coverage look as the christmas party season is almost upon us!!  For base I have chosen the Maxfactor facefinity all day flawless foundation. This is a primer, foundation and concealer in one which is is high overage but it doesn't feel heavy so it's great for parties or all day event's. I have the colour warm almond 45 which is great for pale skin. I also used the maybelline fit me for concealer as it's has great coverage and last's all day.  If I'm going to an event or know I'm going to something that is quite formal then I will wear two concealer's one being to cover up any blemishes and a second one to brighten up my eyes. The first one is the maybelline fit me, I also like the very hype collection lasting perfection concealer. The other concealer is the Barry M light reflecting concealer which a...

Rimmel super curl and volume 24hr mascara

Image
Rimmel super curl and volume 24hr mascara Rimmel have just released a brand new mascara and I really love it. In my opinion I find that rimmel do some of the best mascara's on the high street and they are also cheap. I really love there lash accelerator which was release a while a go. However this one I am so impressed with because you get that immediate result of super long and volumize lashes. This mascara retails for £6.99 which in the worlds of mascara is very reasonable and was releases early september.  On the left I have no product on and on the right I have on coat of the product of this product on.

make-up look moisturising

Image
Make-up look moisturising look This time of year I find that my skin becomes dryer so I want to put moisture into my skin and try not to put too much make-up on. Following this I thought that a very basic but yet moisturising make-up look.  Starting with base I've used the new-look pure colour liquid foundation vitamin E in 01 porcelain. This feels very light and moisturising but has good coverage and it's also not too dewy either. I really like this on a day to day basis as it's really easy to blend.  For my cheeks I have used the bourjois cream blush in 03 rose tender which is a very natural flush. I really light cream blushes for the autumn winter as they give you some colour and almost gives that highlight as well.  For eyes I have used the new H&M colour essence eye cream in champer's which is a very taupey/neutral which is great for every day. This feels very creamy and so easy to blend, I used this with my fing...
